CHONDROMALACIA PATELLA SYNDROME

Chondromalacia Patella is the wear and tear on the cartilage behind the knee cap, often known as “runner’s knee”. This condition may be as a result of a) Weak quadriceps muscle. b) Dysfunctional patellar below the knee. c) Faulty biomechanics of the foot/lower leg.

Symptoms may include:

  • Deep Knee Pain
  • swelling around Knee Cap
  • excessive pronation/flat feet resulting in Tibial Torsion & Knee pain (Custom Orthotics required)
  • knee pain when bending or going up and down stairs
