Anatomy Of An Apex Shoe:

Apex Shoe Anatamy

1 Protective Interior with Soft Padded Upper
Apex shoes feature a soft, moisture-wicking lining with non-exposed seams that helps keep feet comfortable, dry and safe from irritation, eliminating pressure on the forefoot and toes.

2 Biomechanical Footbed
Contoured EVA insole may help improve movement and eliminate pain, stopping further stress to the foot.

3 Multi-Density Midsole
Shoes designed to provide support and cushioning to enhance stability, impact absorption and pronation control to support your feet effectively.

4 Customization
The added EVA insole allows you to easily customize the comfort and fit of the shoe by trimming the insole at the areas of pressure. The insole may also be fully removed for additional depth.

5 Reinforced Heel for Rearfoot Stability
The structural support offered by our shoes help to reduce the risk of overpronation and supination while participating in walking, running, or other weight-bearing activities. This is done through preventing excessive movement and providing the necessary structural support.

History Of Apex Footwear

Apex was founded by two brothers, Paul and Charles Schwartz, in 1946 in Manhattan. They pioneered the manufacturing of stainless steel and leather arch supports, later to become known as foot orthotics.

In 1971, after Paul’s son Richard took over the business, Apex manufactured their first shoe that was referred to as the “healing shoe.” Made from spandex, it was designed to provide comfort and protection to those with foot injuries, or to those who suffered with swelling feet.

Richard would take Apex to become the best known and respected therapeutic shoe manufacturers in America.

In 1999, Apex introduced their first athletic shoe, and since then, have continued with research and development into shoes of various styles that feet love!
